Dogs overcame mistakes

MP 20, Morgan Co. 14

OK, it was not all that pretty. Every time MP turned over the ball, the fans sighed a collective moan. But, as they say. . . in the end all that counts is the score.
One thing is for sure. The Bulldogs have improved over last year. The Dogs of 2007 could not have endured 7 turnovers. They would have given up after 2 or 3. These Dogs are in it for the long haul.
The defense deserves a lot credit for continuing to fight. But there were some positive things on offense too.

What do you think?

Do the Bulldogs stand a chance this season?
What were some of the highlights? Lowlights?

Let us know!

Well we won this past Friday night but it wasn't pretty. With an injury on the first play, it was ugly from the get go. I remember at least 3 interceptions and 4 fumbles throughout the game. Morgan County got all their points from our mistakes. Unfortunately Coleman's passing was more cold than hot. But the first game is behind us, here's to hoping game two verses Lamar will go better.

The defense saved the game but the offence kept their heads in the game and kept digging. Even with three interceptions Coleman passed for 117 yards and a couple of TD passes which is way above average for us. If he had been able to keep the ball dry, his passes would have been better. They should allow the center to keep a towel on his waist. Heart wrenching game, but I think the Dawgs have what it takes to get it done.

The coaches need to stop showing favortism and let be best athletes play and not the ones who parents contribute the most money to the bulldog circle and until that happens Mary Persons football will not be the same. Bottom line play your best athletes .
