MP spring sports is in full swing
It's 40 degrees one day and 80 degrees the next day. . . yep, it must be spring in Middle georgia.
And with springtime comes lots of Mary Persons Sports.
Tennis, Soccer, Baseball, Track, Golf seasons are underway.
GET A KICK OUT OF THE DOGS!
MP soccer teams are kicking butts and taking names. Just nine games into the season the Lady Soccer Dawgs are undefeated and have outscored opponents 58-4. Seven of their games have been shut-outs and two have been called early because the Lady Dawgs were already ahead 10-0.
The boys are doing also. At 8-1, the Bulldogs have a unique balance of rookies and veterans and are a force to be reckoned with.
But the big games are still ahead. MP has yet to play its biggest challenges.... Woodward Academy, Spalding and Eagles Landing.
TAKE ME OUT OT THE BALLGAME!
If you havent been out to the MP baseball field yet, you need to come out and watch the MP Baseball Teams. The field is absolutely beautiful and the teams are winning!
The varsity Bulldogs are swinging bats and throwing strikes. Last week a packed house watch senior pitcher Jay Williams set a school strike-out record, striking out 18 batters in a complete game.
Bobby Ramage leads the team at the plate, knocking in three runs two weeks ago in Milledgeville against GMC. THe varsity record is 5-2 and the team plays on the road this week -- vs, Maynard Jackson, howard and Baldwin before coming home next Friday to face Woodland.

The Mp golf teams are doing great. The boys are 4-0 and the newly formed girls team is rocking along at 3-0-1.
ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO BULLDOGS!
The MP track season begins March 19 with a meet in Warner Robins. The first home meet is March 24.
TENNIS ANYONE?
MP's tennis season is half finished but there is still a lot of action left. The next five matches will be region matches. MP plays rival Spalding County on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 at home at 4 p.m.

Good to see you guys posting again! Soccer is in full gear right now. The Dogs are doing well and we are in the meat of the season. Come out and visit the field and see some soccer action!
Its surprising, I figured they wouldn't post again until they disagreed with the way something with the athletic department was being handled. All the spring sports seem to be doing well, keep it up.
The truth is we have a small staff and are still trying to get organized online. This is YOUR blog. The reason no posts have been made lately is that we have no input. Let's keep it going!

MP BASEBALL, Let's not forget the JV Baseball! JV is doing very well. Come and watch them play.
The JV Baseball team is 9-1, yet we dont seem to read about them in the paper. I dont know if it's the coach's fault for not informing you guys or what. These boys are playing their hearts out and not gettting any recognition! Let them know that we are proud of them!
Good luck to the baseball team this weekend. I don't know about yall but I'm ready for some MP Spring football!
