Welcome to "Bulldog Overtime" . . . the first-ever sports blog devoted entirely to Mary Person High School sports. We started in May so that Bulldog fans and critics would have a place to talk about MP sports.... likes, dislikes, cheers, disappointments, shout-outs... whatever. This is an open forum. Some things you may like, some maybe not so much. But, this is your blog. It is what you make it.
Whether you are a die-hard Dog fan or a newcomer to Monroe County, you probably realize we take our sports pretty seriously around here. That's where this blog comes in.
Comments can be made anonymously, but that does not give you permission to be mean and nasty anonymously. Take the time to get yourself a screen name. It will be much better for everyone if every post is not "Anonymous." It's free and we still don't know who you are. We have no way of finding out who is who. You don't have to give us your real name.... just be MPfan57 or DogMom or Ihatejackson or whatever and let's talk about the Dogs!
But, just keep it clean. All comments will be screened before being posted. Keep in mind Mary Persons athletes are still kids. It is not the intention of this blog to personally attack any individual player and comments doing so will not be published.
If you want to talk about a new subject, just click "Post a Comment" at the bottom of this post and type new subject at the top. We will get it on and start talking about it.

Comeon all you "true" bulldawg fans, dont let all the "haters" get you down, let's get behind this team and get FIRED UP!
and yes im a past player at Mp and i have 2 kids that play different sports at Mp...
Athletes have to be tough to endure months of conditioning and weeks of practice, some times in scorching heat. MP athletes are especially tough. I have no doubt they can take a little criticism without folding like cardboard. It's the parents who are the thin-skinned ones. The players--- football, softball, basketball and whichever team you can think of at MP are too tough to worry about anything but playing the game. GOOOOOO DAWGS!!!! Kick a** and take names. Leave all the doubters in the dust!
