MP 35, Lamar County 7

The Bulldogs are 2-0! Seems like all the right players were in the right positions Friday night. Maybe there are still a few wrinkles, but so far so good. Reminiscent of the good ol' days of Mary Persons football, the Dogs dominated the line of scrimmage, rushing for almost 300 yards. Coleman completed 4 of 5 passes and had no interceptions. Quin King carried the ball 19 times for 149 yards and 2 MP touchdowns. Meshari Walton had 14 carries for 73 yards and 2 touchdowns of his own. Tevin Davis snagged an interception for a touchdown as well. The defense was strong again. It was fun to see the second and third stringers get a shot.

I don't get it. Where are all the people who were complaining last week. #16 played quarterback again so obviously there should still be complaints, right? I love MP football but hate MP fans. To fair weathered for me.

I agree with the previous comment. So many complaints about turnovers and the quarterbacks mishaps from the first game against Morgan co. but noone wants to admit that the same players played against Lamar co. Oh and as far as the coaches showing favoritism...in the words of the blogger who made that comment last week, "Bottom Line" they are playing the best athletes!

So what you are telling me is, the "best athlete" has to play the QB position?...hmmm, that means Alvin Toles should've played QB instead of Rb? And Georgia would be much better off if Stafford wasnt the QB and one of the Rb's/WR's(you pick) was?...or better yet, how bout Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Eli im quite certain they arent the "best athletes" on their teams, maybe they shouldnt be QB...ya know there is alot more that goes into playing QB than just 40 yard dash times...sure athletic ability does comes into play, but so does leadership, comminment, heart, intelligence. Point being there are alot more factors that make up a QB besides just how fast you can run or how high you can jump.

The Bulldogs are winning! That's all I care about. It's just like old times in Forsyth. The kids are playing their hearts out and the parents are either taking credit for it or the blame. WHATEVER!
