Lady Bulldogs beat Jackson, advance to championship game


Mary Persons is headed for its very first region championship game.
The Lady Bulldogs beat region rival Jackson, 6-4, Tuesday. Kyla Tanner pitched the complete game to get the win and set the school record for wins in a season as a pitcher. The win brings their overall record to 19-11 and advances them to the region 4AAA championship game, which will be played in Jackson at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9. The Lady Bulldogs will face the winner of the Jackson - Rutland game, which will be played at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

GO LADY DAWGS!!!Thanks to all who came out Tuesday night. Jackson did not know what hit them. We had over 100 fans at the game which is great for a high school sofbtall game. Thanks to our Superintendent, Mr. Pack for coming, also thanks to Penny Davis for sending our girls some CheerDawgs. That meant alot!! Please come out Thursday night and support these girls. They work and play hard. GO LADY DAWGS!!!!

That is the first games I have been to this year and I could not have picked 2 better games to watch. Those games should have been on ESPN. Great effort ladies and coaches. You have nothing to be ashamed of and good luck in the Sectionals.
